Questions

For businesses

How do I get an onsite IT technician in Tampa?

To get an onsite IT or low-voltage technician in Tampa, FL, post the job on OnSiteO with the site address, the work and a time window. Technicians who work around Downtown Tampa, Westshore and Ybor City bid or take it. You compare their skills and badges, follow their arrival, and review photos and sign-off before you approve.

How is OnSiteO different from other field service marketplaces?

OnSiteO is built around what the business can see and check: a live map with an arrival estimate when the technician taps On my way, a one-tap check-in, completion photos and sign-off for every site, and payment released only after you approve. You can rebook technicians you like and run multi-site projects with a sign-off per site.

What kind of work can I post?

Onsite IT and low-voltage work: structured cabling, fiber, networking and Wi-Fi, servers and data-center smart hands, security cameras, access control, fire alarm, desktop and printer support, POS and self-checkout, AV and digital signage, telecom, and kiosks, ATMs and lockers.

How do I choose a technician?

Technicians bid on your job or take it at your price. Compare their skills, tools, certifications and completed badges before you choose.

What do I get back from each visit?

A check-in when the technician arrives, completion photos and notes, and a sign-off you review. Ask for anything missing before you approve.

When is the technician paid?

Payment is released only after you review the work and approve it. If something is missing, ask for it to be finished first.

Can I run a project across several sites?

Yes. Add each site with its own access details and time window. Each site gets its own check-in, photos and sign-off, so one location can be approved while another is still in progress.

Are technicians background checked?

Technicians who pass a background check show the badge and its date on their profile. Not every technician has every badge, so check the profile before you choose.

Does OnSiteO verify contractor licenses?

No. If your job needs a licensed contractor, require it in the job post and ask for the license number. Each city page links to the official state licensing source.

What does a company account cost?

Creating a company account is free. You see the full price of every job in your account before you approve it.

Questions

For technicians and service companies

How do I find onsite IT and low-voltage work?

Create a technician profile with your skills, tools and travel area, then send your price on the jobs you want or take fixed-price work. Registration does not guarantee available jobs.

Do technicians keep the rate they accept?

Yes. You send your price or take the posted one, and the rate you accept is the rate on the job.

Are the business tools really free?

Yes. Estimates, time tracking, mileage and expense logs are included, and they work for your own customers, not only OnSiteO jobs.

Can a service company or crew join?

Yes. A crew company can invite its technicians, bid for eligible work and assign awarded jobs to active members who meet the job requirements.
